Balance is a strong theme that weaves throughout our lives daily. We are constantly being asked, reminded or told that maintaining balance in our lives is vital to our wellbeing. That is true! It can become an obsession to think about: Am I getting enough sleep? Do I need more self-care time? Am I working far too long hours? Am I eating the right things? Do I have enough down time with my loved ones? It seems like we are forever to-ing and fro-ing trying to find and maintain balance.
Under the energies of the recent super full moon in Libra, we were invited to examine and consider areas of our life that might need bringing more into balance, and perhaps others that require less of our energy, thus finding balance. Observing too, in the external world as this year progresses how we’ve overcome challenges from the past year and how we are still integrating balance with the ever-changing energies of restriction and expansion.
Remembering how we have autonomy and power within to come back to our centre, breathe, and bring ourselves back into balance with the present moment.
Each and every day witnesses the cycle of death and rebirth.
Each and every day we are reborn anew.
A new you awaits today.
How might you like to spend your day? How do you actually spend your day?
Considering the various aspects of Self (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual) is a beginning point of focus to identify the gaps between reality and where you would ideally like to be; coming from a place of conscious and compassionate growth, rather than wounds of not being good enough or dissatisfied with your life. It can seem overwhelming to try and answer this and identify where the gaps are in your life all at once. Yet, with gentle and determined action you can gain insight and begin to shift towards the direction and place you desire, fulfilling life’s potential in your unique expression.
There are many tools available to support and guide us. Remembering that it all begins with you; within, I invite you to consider that you are your first port of call. Whether through meditation, walking, exercising, journaling, being in nature, time with animals, going to your place of inspiration where insight and creativity can be invited to flow freely. Creativity is the key that unlocks the chains we are bound to. If creativity is an area you feel lacking in your life, this is a wonderful opportune moment to recover and rediscover these parts of your being.
Creativity brings balance to our lives; although limitless, it allows the confines of our daily life to be lifted, temporarily, into infinite possibility. From this stance, in the creative field, we receive clarity; seeing for the first or umpteenth time, limiting behaviours, emotional reactions and patterns that play out repeatedly in our life, especially wounds we are carrying. Moreover, creativity is the enabler to see past our limitations, in fact, there are no limitations in the realm and space of creation. A recognition that whatever is created, can be remoulded, transformed, healed, re-created, amended. Here is the ah-ha! moment.
How can I invite a connection to my creative power?
How can I cultivate a relationship with creativity?
What brings me joy and high vibrational energy?
Each of us has unique and wonderful responses to these questions and gifts to share. Embracing the cycles of nature, acknowledging that each day ends as it does begin, each moment is ripe for creation, as well as letting go to make space for something new. Freeing oneself from self criticism and judgement and moving towards self compassion and self acceptance are pivotal aspects to integrate in the balance of well-being. Each moment, day, of observing ourselves in the cycle of creation; rebirth, is a new opportunity to learn, develop and grow. Awareness alone is something to celebrate here!
What’s amazing about this, is you are already ‘doing it’ – you are already part of Nature’s creation and life cycles. There is no “I’ll be there when…” “I’ll be ready by…” “ I’ll begin next month…” – too late! You are here! And very much a part of it.
Sometimes we need to stand so far back, moving out of the way of ourselves, to truly see who we are.
Quiet time, self-care and soul nourishment is medicine for tapping into and experiencing our pure essence.
Wishing you a fabulous month ahead, with an invitation to consider what areas of your life balance could bring you into alignment with your true nature, as well as exploring creativity to support and guide you.
